This is the sapphire silk knee-length Jacquenta dress with lace detailing by Canadian designer Erdem. It has elbow length sleeves and has a split skirt and a floral integrated lace applique across the shoulders and sleeves to give it some textural interest.
It is a beautiful dress with lovely details and it is luxurious looking.
The Duchess wore this dress on 3rd July 2011 in Quebec City.
Sewing pattern for this dress
The line drawings are similar the only changes would be to add the slit at the seam at the front and the difficulty would probably be to add the lace applique. BD6975 MISSES’ DRESS

And below after a little bit of ironing, not on the faux leather obviously though! 🙂 It will be perfect for this spring and the faux leather gives some originality to a T-shirt that would have looked quite plain otherwise. It has a great cut like most of the Burda patterns.
Sleeveless nude dress by Joseph called the “Vanessa dress” .Sleeveless crepe scoop-neck shift dress with gros grain trim belt. It is gathered to the waist, features flat seam trim and fastens with a gros grain covered zip to the rear.
I love this dress I really want to make a similar one for me but maybe in a more luxurious looking fabric as this one looks a bit flimsy, but I love the cut and style of the dress and Kate wears it perfectly.
1- The Duchess of Cambridge wore it on 3rd July 2011 at Québec City, and she wore it later on during the day arriving at Charlotteville airport with a pale pink tweed jacket and a different (and more elegant in my opinion) pair of shoes.
2- Kate wore again the dress on 8th July 2012 at Wimbledon to watch a tennis match. She wore it underneath the Nessie Tweed Jacket also by Joseph.
