Princess Diana attended a state banquet at the British Embassy in Washington in November 1985 where she wore a daintily scalloped lace evening gown by Murray Arbeid with a drop-waisted taffeta skirt and see-through lace sleeves. She was also wearing the Queen Mary tiara –a wedding present from the queen.
Double-breasted dusky pink wool coat with side pockets, oversized collar, front on-seam pockets and tab detailing on the cuffs. It is by Joseph.
I like the design and colour of this coat. I think that the length is also nice. The buttons were moved during her pregnancy with George to give her more comfort, it is a pity that we can still see the indentation made by the buttons and they also seem slightly unaligned.

2- Kate was seen wearing it again on 31st January 2008 at the occasion of her mother Carole’s 53d birthday dinner in London.

Smythe blazer has a collar and peaked lapels, lightly padded shoulders, long sleeves with button-fastening cuffs, a welt pocket, patch pockets and a single button fastening at front, and is fully lined. This dress by Roland Mouret is beautiful, his clothes are just divine and I love the jacket, very classy with the twist of the cutaway at the back. Kate wore the jacket with other items, it will therefore be part of another post!
1- The Duchess wore the Mouret dress on 30th June 2011 at Heathrow Airport in London on departure for an official trip to Canada.
Nude trench coat with softly ruffled hem, Napoleonic collar, double-breasted button front, epaulets, left gunflap, long sleeves with belted cuffs. With front and back contour seams. By Burberry.
This is a luxurious coat with a very feminine touch with the ruffled hem. I however prefer the classic look of the trench coat with the masculine side of it.
1- Kate wore it on 8th March 2011 during a surprise visit to Belfast with Prince William prior to their wedding.
