Duchess Kate: cotton-blend lace dress by Dolce and Gabbana

Romantic cotton-blend lace dress with sheer long sleeves, a nipped-in waist and a tiered, swishy skirt. It comes with a smooth satin slip for coverage. It has a concealed hook and zip fastening at the back. By the Italian designers Dolce & Gabbana.

This dress doesn’t look very modern and is not excessively elegant. I like the lace pattern though.

1- The Duchess of Cambridge wore it on 15th May 2016 at the celebration of the Queen’s reign at Windsor Castle.

2- Kate wore the dress again in full view on 15th June 2016 at Royal Ascot.

  1. It’s as if she really wanted to wear her new lace dress and it wasn’t warm enough so she threw on a bulky overcoat at the last minute – the two look terrible together. What was she thinking? I’m certain the dress could have been beautiful worn by itself or with something else. I’d love to see a full length picture if one comes to light just so I can see the full dreadful mess of the lace dress with the red coat.

    • I so agree with you Sue, the association of the dress and jacket is terrible. She could have worn a shawl if she feared the cold and the dress would have been put in a good light.
