Personal sewing project: Dress 103 Burda 08/2014

Dress from Burda Style: Straight cut, pure in style and not a bit simple: this dress has geometric seamlines that hug the body and futuristic cap sleeves.

I didn’t find it too difficult to sew this dress despite all the many pieces. It is a good pattern, very flattering.

Below are the different steps of the sewing. Creation of the bodice, the front and back of the dress. The front and back put together. Creation of the lining that is added to the dress and finished dress front and back.

And the dress worn:

Personal sewing project: T-shirt 113 Burda 06/2013

I just completed a simple T-shirt from Burda magazine/ June 2013: a shirt with small cap sleeves and princess seams in front and back.

This pattern is pretty easy to make, I chose 2 types of fabric, black jersey and dark grey faux leather. The different steps of the sewing:

And below after a little bit of ironing, not on the faux leather obviously though! 🙂 It will be perfect for this spring and the faux leather gives some originality to a T-shirt that would have looked quite plain otherwise. It has a great cut like most of the Burda patterns.
