Duchess Kate: icy blue silk and satin coat by Christopher Kane

Custom made icy blue silk and satin single breasted straight coat belted at the waist. It is by the British designer Christopher Kane.

I can’t decide if I like this coat or if I don’t. It looks very regal and fitted for a Princess but on the edge of being a bit too much. I would however say that it is a hit on the Duchess, the colour is delightful.

1- The Duchess of Cambridge wore it for the first time on 27th July 2012 for the Olympic opening ceremony in London.

2- The coat was worn again on 17th June 2014 to attend the Order of the garter parade in London.

3- Kate wore the silk coat again on 16th May 2017 to attend the Queen’s first annual garden party.

Duchess Kate: khaki green wax parka by Troy London

Lightweight khaki green fitted jacket made from 100% cotton milled in England with a dry wax finish. The jacket features a cinched waist, pockets and a drawstring hood. By the British brand Troy London.

This is a lovely country parka.

1- Kate wore the parka on 1st October 2016 when sailing from Ogden Point into Victoria’s Inner Harbour in Canada.

2- The parka was worn again on 3rd May 2017 to visit the Farms for City Children in Arlingham, Gloucester.

Duchess Kate: cream coat by Catherine Walker

Bespoke princess silhouette collared cream coat featuring an inserted waistband, an off-center front closure with a hidden placket and front flap pockets. The collar, pockets and seams are edged with a beige trim. By Catherine Walker.

This is a gorgeous coat, it is elegant, perfectly tailored and made with a beautiful soft coloured fabric.

1- The Duchess of Cambridge wore the coat on 1st October 2016 at Victoria Harbour Airport, Canada upon her departure with her family.

2- The cream coat was worn again on 16th April 2017 to attend Easter Sunday service in Windsor.

Duchess Kate: Long snake stitch coat by Missoni

Long snake stich coat with silver metallic threads shimmering within the monochromatic hues defining a textured A-line coat that’s visually shaped with an angled zigzag pattern. It features a front button fastening, patch pockets, a back vent, and an optional belt. Made of rayon/cupro/polyester. By the Italian designer Missoni.

I find this coat elegant but a bit sad looking and I am not a fan of the zigzag pattern.

2- The coat was worn again on 5th April 2017 when members of the Royal family attended a Service of Hope at Westminster Abbey following the terror attacks which took place in Westminster on 22 March.

Duchess Kate: dark blue striped tweed coat dress by Chanel

Duchess Kate: bottle green coat by Catherine Walker

Bespoke bottle green flared coat with velvet trim at the collar, pocket flaps and cuffs, fastened at the front with eight goldtone buttons. By Catherine Walker.

This is a very beautiful and elegant coat.

1- The Duchess of Cambridge wore it on 17th March 2017 when honouring soldiers from the Irish Guards on St Patrick’s Day in London.

 

2- The coat was still worn upon Kate’s arrival at the Elysée Palace in Paris on 17th March 2017.
