The dress offers a contrast between the tight, trim cummerbund belt and the fussier matching bow ans puff sleeves.
The Princess of Wales attends a tribute concert for Sammy Davis Jr. at the Royal Albert Hall on 23rd June 1992. She wears a double-breasted black and white banded nautical-style silk cocktail suit by Catherine Walker with a square neckline, a double row of pearl and diamanté buttons and long sleeves with white cuffs.
Prince Charles and Princess Diana traveled to Maitland, Australia in March 1983 for a walkabout and official welcome. The Princess wore a pale rose-pink and white striped suit by Catherine Walker that consisted of a short jacket with puffed sleeves over a simple blouse and skirt. The shapely skull cap with a large bow at the back was designed by John Boyd.
