Navy silk and cotton-blend sleeveless dress with a cutout crossover back. The dress has wide shoulder straps, asymmetric pleat detailing at high neck, pleat details at fitted waist, a vent at back and an exposed zip fastening through back. 58% silk, 42% cotton. By Roland Mouret.

Duchess Kate: navy blazer by Smythe

Cutaway back wool crepe navy blazer by Smythe with embossed gold buttons and a cutaway hem at back. Smythe blazer has a collar and peaked lapels, lightly padded shoulders, long sleeves with button-fastening cuffs, a welt pocket, patch pockets and a single button fastening at front, and is fully lined. This dress by Roland Mouret is beautiful, his clothes are just divine and I love the jacket, very classy with the twist of the cutaway at the back. Kate wore the jacket with other items, it will therefore be part of another post!

Duchess Kate: Coral silk dress by Stella McCartney

Knee lengh coral coloured silk pleated pencil dress with a rose and bow detail on the high neck, a pleated panel at the front of the dress, long sleeves and a zip fastening at the back. It is by Stella McCartney.

I like the colour of this dress but it looks very fussy with too much detailing for that type of fabric.

1- Kate wore it on 13th June 2011 to attend Prince Philip’s 90th birthday meal, held at the three Michelin-starred restaurant The Waterside Inn, at Bray, Berkshire.
